LASIK & Refractive Surgery Co-Management

If you're readyfor an alternative to glasses and/or contacts look to us for co-mangement of LASIK, contracts, and other ocular surgery.

Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eyes result from the chronic lack of lubrication and mositure on the surface of the eyes, which can cause minor irritations, an ability to wear contact lenses and an increased risk of corneal inflamation and eye infections.

Astigmatism Diagnosis & Treatment

Astigmatism is a very common eye condition that's easily corrected by eyeglasses or contact lenses and on some occasions, surgery.

OHIP Covered Conditions

Eye Care Services Covered

Patients aged 20 to 64 years who have any of the following medical conditions can go to their optometrist or physician and receive an OHIP isured eye examination once every 12 months: diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, cataract, retinal disease, ambloyopia, visual field defects, corneal disease, strabismus, recurrent uveitis or optic pathway disease.

Eye Care Services NOT Covered

Routine eye examination provided by either an optometrist, opthalmologist or a physician, for patients aged 20 to 64, are not covered by OHIP. These individuals are responsible for payment for these examinations or have the cost covered by private insurance. We charge $75 for a comprehensive eye examination.

ODSP, Ontario Works and IFH

ODSP, Ontario Works and IFH eligible patients are welcome at our clinic. Please bring appropriate documentation.

Partial Eye Exams

Partial eye exams follow an annual assessment and address an issue that has started during the year or to follow-up on an existing condition. The tests required may very depending on the resaon for the visit. Starts from $50 and may be covered by OHIP in some instances.

Comprehensive eye health and vision exams

Full detail about OHIP eyecare coverage is available from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. In Ontario, OHIP will cover the cost of an examination once every year for:
* Patients up to 19 years of age
* and those over 65 years of age.

Often your employment insurance benefits cover the cost of one eye examination every 2 years,
* Contact lense examinations & fitting
* LASIK and Laser Surgery Consultation & C-management
* Visual Field Screening
* Eyeglasses & Sunglasses
* Unique frames for every lifestyle & budget
* Eye Health Assessment and Care
* Referrals and co-management for infections, injuries, pinkeye, glaucoma, etc.
